Ben X Slave Quest - Version: 0.05e
The combat is turn based which sounds fine on paper but the actual flow is so stiff you’d think it was designed by someone who’s only seen RPGs in screenshots. There’s stats and perks and items but they feel like they’re there because someone said “we need RPG mechanics” and nobody asked why. I spent way too long staring at the stats screen trying to figure out if the numbers actually matter or if it’s just window dressing for a porn game. They matter, sort of, but not in a way that feels satisfying. The whole thing kicks off from that one episode where Albedo gets fucked over by Vilgax. Except here Alien X activates at the last second and he escapes to some dimension between dimensions. Bellicus and Serena, those two arguing heads inside Alien X, warn him about a multiverse ending threat and suddenly you’re supposed to replace Ben. Which means convincing Gwen, Rook Shar, Charmcaster, and some alternate universe Gwen that you’re the real deal. The writing is genuinely decent when it remembers to be a parody, there’s a scene where you’re trying to act heroic in front of Gwen while internally panicking that she’ll notice you don’t actually know her cousin’s mannerisms. That tension works. But then it veers into trainer mechanics where you’re slowly corrupting them and it loses that spark. The wardrobe system is where I got weirdly invested. You can change their outfits. Multiple slots. I don’t know why I cared so much about this but I spent probably twenty minutes just swapping Gwen’s clothes and seeing what stuck. The 2D art is high quality, the animations are smooth enough, and there’s oral scenes with Julie Yamamoto that are explicit and well drawn. But the sound design is so forgettable I literally cannot recall a single track or effect and I played this yesterday. Voice acting would’ve saved some of the flatter dialogue exchanges but that’s never happening. Sleep sex is tagged and it’s there, handled with the same mechanical distance as everything else. You’re just clicking through menus while a character is unconscious and it’s creepy in a way that doesn’t feel intentional. The game wants to be a corruption fantasy but the interface keeps reminding you it’s just clicking. I wish the combat had actual weight instead of feeling like a formality between scenes. The trainer aspects are grindy and I found myself rushing through battles to get back to the character interactions, which is probably backwards for what they intended. Charmcaster shows up and her chaos energy is fun for about five minutes before she becomes another stat block to manage.

ok so i was sketching the other day, right, just doodling raven's cloak but like, what if it was half off and she's got that look, you know the one from the old teen titans comics where she's actually smiling. this game just drops you right into that fantasy. titans tower goes boom, whatever, and she's at your place. your place. the first scene is just... morning light, her in your bed, and the dialogue is so dumb and charming. she says something about meditation and then five seconds later you're picking positions from a little menu. i laughed but also my hand was, well. the art is that specific fanart style where proportions are just slightly exaggerated in the best way. her hips. god. and the way they drew her face when she's flustered, it's not perfect but it's hot because it feels like a comic panel someone actually poured their weird crush into. then gwen tennyson shows up. gwen! from ben 10! she wants to play video games and i'm thinking, this is a setup so obvious it wraps back around to genius. there's a bit where she's holding a controller and not looking at the screen and i just... the pacing is like a fever dream. you get a blowjob scene that ends too fast and then suddenly you're choosing dialogue options that don't really matter but you still feel clever picking them. i wish charmcaster had more to do, she's in a couple panels looking sinister and hot and then poof, gone. maybe in an update? probably not. the whole thing is this weird, messy, free thing i found on a site full of ads for other games i immediately closed. it's like the dev just wanted to see these characters fuck and i respect that. no grinding, no stupid puzzles, just click and watch the cartoon people do unspeakable things. my only real complaint is that the sound effects are just... stock. a wet slap noise that sounds like someone dropping pasta. takes you out of it for a sec. but then raven's leg is over your shoulder and you forget about pasta entirely.
