Palacius - Faggot Athlete
Palacius is built like a god but the whole thing runs like it was coded on a potato during a blackout. The first thing you notice is how the art doesn't quite line up, his abs sort of slide around when he breathes and one nipple is permanently higher than the other. I couldn't stop staring at it. The dialogue is this weird mix of ancient Greece roleplay and modern grindr energy, he'll say something about olive wreaths and then ask if you want to see his gold chain. The chain is literally just a yellow circle that clips through his chest. The touching mechanics are where it gets properly unhinged. You click and drag across his body and parts of his outfit just disappear, no animation, no sound, just poof. His toga thing vanishes and there's his cock, fully rendered and honestly way too detailed compared to everything else. Someone spent actual time on the veins while his face looks like it was drawn in ms paint during a lunch break. The game keeps score based on how much you make him blush but the blush is just two pink dots that appear nowhere near his cheeks. I got a high score somehow. The whole thing feels like finding a dirty drawing in a textbook but the drawing is really into being objectified and keeps asking you to touch his thighs. There's this one moment where he flexes and his entire torso separates from his legs for like three seconds. I laughed so hard I nearly closed the tab but then he said something about wanting to wrestle and I kept playing. The jewelry borrowing subplot goes absolutely nowhere, you never get the chain, he just keeps teasing about it and then the game loops back to the start. No climax, no resolution, just eternal edging with a glitchy greek athlete who can't keep his body parts connected. I wish there was an option to actually take the jewelry and run. That won't happen though. The whole thing has this chaotic energy that's more compelling than half the polished visual novels out there. The sound design is just one looping lyre track that cuts out randomly and comes back louder. My cat left the room. I played it three times.
