I keep coming back to that one CG with the guard captain. Not because it's the hottest thing ever, the anatomy goes a bit weird around her left tit honestly, but because of how you get there. You spend the whole first act being a complete horndog on Aethus V, chasing tail while Emperor Krux is rounding up ex Blackgate guards. You're not even a guard, never were, but the whole planet's in chaos and you're just trying to get your dick wet. Classic setup. The captain catches you sneaking around a restricted zone and instead of the usual game over screen you'd expect from these cheap browser VNs, she just stares at you for this uncomfortably long beat. Then the dialogue tree pops up and every option is some variation of flirting. I picked the dumbest one, something like "arrest me then, but use the handcuffs on yourself first" and she actually laughs. Not a sexy laugh, a genuine snort. That tiny moment of personality before the inevitable hentai scene made me forget I was playing something that looks like it was coded in a weekend. The sci-fi setting is basically wallpaper. Aethus V could be a shopping mall for all it matters. The fate stuff, the adventure tag, it's all just scaffolding to move you between fuck scenes. And look, the art is inconsistent as hell. Some CGs look traced from better games, others have that weird shiny rendering that makes everyone look like they're coated in baby oil. The writing has this strange cadence too, like someone ran a decent script through three different translators and called it a day. But there's this one scene with a redhead in a holding cell where the dialogue suddenly gets sharp, almost clever, and I sat there wondering if the same person wrote the rest of it or if they just blacked out and channeled something better for five minutes. The guard hunt plot keeps threatening to become interesting and then immediately remembers it's a porn game and throws another pair of tits at you. Which is fine. That's what I clicked for. But that captain scene keeps nagging at me. There's a version of this game where the political intrigue and the fucking actually talk to each other instead of taking turns. This ain't it. Still fapped though.

That little disclaimer at the start isn't fucking around. Seduction Crime opens with a content warning that actually means something, and then it just... sits there. Waiting. You're the guard. Artemis is the inmate. The power imbalance isn't subtext, it's the entire text, dripping off every dialogue choice like sweat in a room with no ventilation. I got stuck on one detail for way too long. The way Artemis looks at the player character in the CGs. It's not the usual yaoi sparkle eyes or whatever. It's this flat, assessing thing. Like he's already figured out exactly which part of you is weak and is just deciding when to press. The femboy tag is there but it's not uwu softboy hours, it's more like someone who learned a long time ago that looking a certain way is a survival tactic. The domination elements aren't about leather and chains, they're about keys and schedules and who gets to decide when the lights go out. And the game knows it. The writing doesn't wink at you. It just presents options that all feel like different flavors of bad decision. The lgbtqia tag is doing heavy lifting in a way that surprised me. This isn't a coming out story or a romance with extra steps. It's a dark eroge where the queerness is baked into the power dynamics, not just the body parts. There's a moment early on where you can just... watch. Be the bystander the description warns about. And the game doesn't judge you for it, which is somehow worse than if it did. The choice system feels less like branching paths and more like digging a hole. You keep clicking, thinking maybe the next one will be the less awful option, but the hole just gets deeper. The demo is only 5,200 words but it sits in your stomach like a stone. I'd give it the "Most Uncomfortable Silence After Clicking" award. The kind of game for players who want their porn to ask questions they can't answer.
