ok so this game is basically what if that one twitter thread about dudes not getting hints was a hentai visual novel. you got this couple, fresh in their first apartment, and the guy is so clueless it hurts. like physically hurts to watch. she's practically vibrating with needs and he's over there wondering if they should get a plant for the corner. the whole thing is about how men and women see the same situation completely different, which is funny cause i kept picking choices that made sense to me and the game was like "wrong, you absolute buffoon." the cg scenes are pretty hot ngl, when you actually manage to unlock them. there's this one where she's just in the kitchen and the tension is so thick you could cut it with a spoon. but the boyfriend is thinking about rent money or some shit. classic. the corruption angle creeps in slow, like you don't even notice until suddenly you're making choices that would make a monk blush. the box metaphor is heavy handed but whatever, we're here for the lewds not literature class. the art style is that specific kind of western hentai where everyone looks like they could be in a mid 2000s flash game but in a good way? like it's not polished but it has charm. some of the dialogue made me snort laugh accidentally, especially when the inner monologues clash. she's thinking things that would get me banned from discord and he's like "i wonder if she likes this pasta." the relationship stuff gets genuinely messy too, like there's this one choice path where everything goes sideways and you're just sitting there like damn, this is supposed to be porn. forgot to mention the money stuff plays a bigger role than i expected, like financial stress as a kink wasn't on my bingo card but here we are.
