Puzzle Date v1.0 [Final]
The gems don't line up right. Three blues in a row, then a red that just sits there, mocking you, while on screen she's got her hand down his pants and the whole thing feels... disconnected. That's the point, I guess. The dev literally says it's a metaphor. The match 3 is the date. When you're fumbling with the puzzle, the conversation is awkward. When you clear a big combo, suddenly someone's tongue is somewhere interesting. It's a neat idea that works maybe 60% of the time. The art is that particular flavor of 3DCG where everyone looks a bit like a mannequin that's been left in the sun, but the animations during the sex scenes have this raw, almost clumsy energy that I ended up liking more than I should. There's a male path and a lesbian path. The lesbian one is better. Not because of any woke reason, just the scenes flow nicer and the puzzle segments feel less like they're interrupting. The male protagonist stuff has this one anal scene that goes on forever and the match 3 board just keeps refilling and I honestly forgot what I was doing with my hands. Both hands. You know what I mean. I played this on a Tuesday afternoon when I should've been doing literally anything else. The swinging tag is there but it's more like... implied group stuff? There's a scene with multiple people where the puzzle board goes absolutely haywire, gems dropping everywhere, and I couldn't tell if I was winning or losing. That's probably the metaphor again. The big tits and big ass tags are accurate. Almost aggressively so. Sometimes the camera lingers on things like it forgot where it was. The teasing mechanic is just the game edging you with bad RNG. I threw my phone. Not really. But I wanted to. The replay value is weird because you'll come back not for the story but to see if you can get better at the puzzle while someone's moaning in your ear. It's a specific kind of chaos.
