Repurpose v2.0
You ever die and wake up in limbo being told you gotta basically date your way to an afterlife decision? That's Repurpose. I downloaded it on a whim from itch.io because someone on a destiny manifestation discord swore it helped them process their breakup. Not sure about that but here I am. The Garden of Eden's been relocated to this weird purgatory where angels and demons can't agree on your file. You pick your gender setup at the start, which I appreciate since I'm tired of games pretending I don't exist. Trans man, cis woman, whatever mess of identity you're working with, the game lets you just be. Then you meet this crew of queer disasters all dead like you, trying to figure out if they want Heaven's bureaucracy, Hell's party scene, or just vibing in limbo forever. I went for the angel path first because I'm a people pleaser even in death apparently. There's this lesbian demon girl with sharp teeth who keeps flirting with my male protag and I got genuinely confused about whether the game was bugging or she's just bi. Turns out she's pan. Makes sense later. The dating sim parts are solid. Choices matter in ways that feel messy like real conversations. I accidentally made someone cry during a trial and had to sit with that. Multiple endings obviously but what got me was the no sexual content tag. In a game about intimacy and connection, they somehow made hand holding feel more charged than most porn games manage with full penetration scenes. The horror elements creep in subtle, not jumpscares but existential dread about being forgotten. I keep forgetting to mention the futa protagonist option which is rare and handled without fetishizing. The 2D art looks rough in places, like someone's sketchbook came to life, and the font choices are criminal sometimes. But the writing has these moments where a character says something so painfully real about regret that I had to close my laptop and stare at my ceiling. Dare to play it alone with your own mortality or whatever.

I want to run away from my goth mommy... or do I? v0.2
The convenience store door clicks shut and suddenly the air is wrong. Not cold. Heavy. Like walking into someone else's dream where the fluorescent lights hum at a frequency that makes your teeth ache. She's just standing there behind the counter, this tiny goth thing with hair cropped sharp and eyes that don't blink enough. Simple t-shirt, jeans. Nothing elaborate. But the way she looks at you. I've played kinetic novels before where the "domination" tag means someone calls you a bad boy and that's it. This isn't that. She doesn't move. Doesn't need to. The text just scrolls and her dialogue drips out like honey laced with something that makes your stomach drop. Mind control tag is there for a reason but it's not the flashing spiral hypno shit you see on certain sites. It's slower. Worse. She talks about the heat outside, how you must be so tired, and you realize you've been reading for twenty minutes and your shoulders are up around your ears. The art is 2D, deliberately rough around the edges. Not "bad" rough. More like someone's sketchbook where the proportions are slightly off in ways that make everything feel uncanny. Her tits are huge, obviously, this is that kind of game, but they're drawn with this weird attention to how fabric pulls across them rather than just being balloons. The gothic aesthetic is understated. No corsets or cathedral backgrounds. Just a convenience store that slowly stops making spatial sense. Shelves rearrange between scenes. The clock on the wall has too many numbers. There's a moment where she reaches for something below the counter and the text describes the motion for like three paragraphs. Just her arm moving. And it's the most tense thing I've experienced in an adult game that technically has no sexual content. Teasing doesn't cover it. This is edging but for your brain. The milf tag confused me at first because she looks young, but there's this one line where she mentions her son and suddenly everything recontextualizes and you feel like you've been caught doing something. Female domination without a single command given. She just... suggests. And you're nodding along before you remember you're holding a phone. The humor is there too, weirdly. Not laugh out loud. More like the nervous chuckle when someone says something threatening but phrases it politely. One dialogue branch, if you can call it that since it's a kinetic novel with zero actual choices, has her comparing the protagonist's willpower to expired milk. I think about that line a lot. Voyeurism aspect is subtle. You're not peeping through windows. You're just intensely aware that you're watching yourself get dismantled from somewhere behind your own eyes. The male protagonist never speaks. You never see him. But his internal narration gets quieter and quieter until. Anyway the store's still locked. She's still talking. I should probably.
Visual Novel ★ 5.0
Lucky Break: Dating in New York v0.2.0
Queens. That’s where you are, stuck with a phone full of dead-end swipes and the algorithm quietly deciding you don’t exist. Then one afternoon the screen lights up with three matches, back to back to back. A visual novel, full-motion video, ai-generated faces that don’t quite blink right but hold your gaze anyway. The male protagonist is you, obviously, a guy who’s stopped expecting anything and suddenly has too much. Nine dates total, three per woman, the intimacy ratcheting up each time. First date is coffee and cautious smiles. By the third, softcore sex scenes slip in, bodies moving with that slightly uncanny smoothness ai video always has, like a dream where the physics aren’t finished loading. The weird thing is how much the slice-of-life stuff lands. Standing in a tiny apartment kitchen, a woman laughing at something you said offscreen, the low hum of a dating sim that’s less about stats and more about mood. No rpg elements to grind, no stats to min-max, just picking dialogue and watching faces shift. I kept thinking about Tanizaki’s Naomi, that same slow pull toward someone who might ruin you, but here it’s gentler, almost polite. The eroticism is soft-focus, never explicit, which is its own kind of frustration. A tease that knows it’s a tease. The romance feels earnest, even when the video loops a little too long on a woman touching her hair. Wish there was more friction somewhere. The dates progress like clockwork, intimacy unlocking on schedule, and you start to see the scaffolding. But then a character will say something unexpectedly raw, her ai-generated eyes flickering with something like recognition, and you forgive the machinery. The game doesn’t care about your dating app trauma, not really. It just hands you three beautiful women and nine chances to feel wanted. That’s the whole trick, and it works more than it should.

Tabula Rasa Chapter 1
The loading screen promises big tits and big ass, tags right there in the corner like a neon sign, but what you actually get is a dude staring at his ceiling fan for five minutes thinking about his dead dad. No sexual content. Yet. That word is doing some heavy lifting, let me tell you. I kept clicking through dialogue about university enrollment and grief counseling with one hand, ready for something, anything, and the game just... keeps being a story. A decent one, actually, which is the weird part. The 3DCG models have that slightly off look, like everyone's been inflated just a little too much, skin too smooth, proportions screaming "I was made in Daz3D" but the writing doesn't match the porn-ready character designs at all. There's this one scene where the protagonist is just sitting in a campus courtyard, and the camera lingers on some girl's absolutely massive rack while she talks about her sociology thesis. The dissonance is almost art. Almost. The male protagonist is about as interesting as wet cardboard, standard self-insert with daddy issues, but the side characters actually have... personalities? I caught myself caring about one of them and had to take a break. What am I even doing with my life. The humor tag is doing work here because the whole experience is kind of a joke. Not intentionally funny, more like the universe is laughing at you for clicking on a game tagged "big ass" and getting a meditation on loss and moving forward. The school setting is generic hallways and classrooms, nothing you haven't seen in fifty other visual novels, but there's this one background with a vending machine that's weirdly detailed. I stared at it for like thirty seconds. The game warns you upfront there's nothing explicit, and they mean it. Blue balls the video game. I respect the honesty even if my lizard brain feels personally attacked.
Blackmail ★ 5.0
Obscura v2.5
The mask seller won't even look at you until you pick one. That's the first thing. A pig face with cracked porcelain, a bird skull with too many eyeholes, a plain white oval that smells like old sweat. I picked the bird skull because it made me feel like a plague doctor who forgot his medical license. Then the market opens and you realize everyone else already knows the rules. You don't. This is a visual novel about being the desperate one in a place where desperation is currency. No sex scenes, which I know sounds weird for this site, but hear me out. The corruption tag is doing heavy lifting. You watch your character's posture change across multiple endings. Shoulders hunch. Voice gets flat. You start choosing dialogue options that would've made you cringe two hours ago. There's blackmail, there's a guy who sells memories in glass jars, there's a woman who keeps calling you "little moth" and it's never clear if she wants to help or eat you. The dystopian fantasy setting is basically a flea market run by fae who discovered capitalism. The art is 2D and deliberately unpolished. Like someone drew it on a bus. But that works because the whole game feels like a half-remembered nightmare you're not sure you woke up from. Multiple endings, some of which just stop. No fanfare. You pick a door and the screen goes gray and that's it. I wish there was a gallery for the CGs, but there isn't and there won't be. Fine. The male protagonist and female protagonist tags are both there because you switch perspectives at one point and honestly I forgot which one I was controlling for a solid ten minutes. That's not a bug. That's the market getting in your head. Best Use of a Mask That Doesn't Hide Anything award goes to the pig face. You'll know why.
