Cg Hentai ★ 4.6
White Cube
The sound design in White Cube is deliberately, aggressively wrong. Not broken wrong, but wrong like someone recorded a dentist drill and layered it under a sex scene. The first time the two characters touch inside that sterile white space, there's this wet, squelching noise that doesn't match the animation at all. It's too loud. Too close. Like someone chewing directly into your ear canal. I've spent way too much time thinking about how hentai games handle audio and this one does something I haven't encountered before. The ambient hum in the cube shifts pitch almost imperceptibly when the psychological horror elements creep in. You don't notice it consciously at first. But your shoulders tense up anyway. The voice acting, if you can call it that, consists mostly of breathing patterns and these half-formed syllables that never quite become words. There's one moment where the female protagonist makes a sound that's somewhere between a moan and a sob and the reverb on it is completely different from everything else in the scene. It hangs in the air too long. The game's got this minimalist approach to its CG hentai scenes where the images are static but the audio keeps moving, keeps suggesting things that aren't shown. A wet sound here. A metallic sc*** there. The cube itself has a sound signature, this low mechanical drone that I swear gets louder during the erotic sequences but maybe I imagined that. I wish the sound effects during the more explicit moments had more variety. After the third or fourth scene you start recognizing the same sample library assets being recycled and it pulls you out of the experience. The horror elements fare better. There's a sequence involving what I think is a ventilation shaft where the audio completely carries the tension while the visual novel text describes something the CG doesn't show. The trapped feeling comes through strongest in the audio mix, how sounds seem to bounce off invisible walls that are closer than they should be. My audio interface picked up some weird sub-bass frequencies during one scene that I'm pretty sure weren't intentional but honestly they added to the whole sick-minding atmosphere this thing is going for. The game doesn't care if you're comfortable. The sound design makes sure of that.

Nothing Is Forever
Right, so I'm playing this shrink simulator with tits, Nothing Is Forever. You're some bright eyed psych student who lands a sexologist gig, which honestly sounds made up, like a job you'd lie about on Tinder. Then bam, inappropriate behavior hits the fan, career in shambles, cue the regret spiral. Classic. The whole thing is this visual novel, CG hentai style, which means static images that are, I'll admit, drawn with a certain... attention to anatomical ambition. The professor character has a chest that defies both gravity and spinal biomechanics. I spent a weird amount of time just staring at the rendering of a lab coat's tensile strength. It's not moving, it's just a picture, but my brain was doing physics equations. The game wants you to use your psych knowledge to figure out what these walking pairs of mammary glands need. It's less Freud, more "pick the dialogue option that gets her shirt off." You're analyzing kinks in a friendly, yet kinky environment, the description says. Friendly is a strong word. It's transactional. I click the right empathy button, you show me a titty. The psychology tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, like calling a hot dog a sandwich. There's a core loop of self doubt and trying to figure out who you want to be, buried under all the student on doctor action. It's almost poignant for a second, then another massive areola fills the screen and I forget my train of thought completely. The replayability is in being a different flavor of scumbag. You can be a remorseful horndog or just a clinical horndog. The game remembers your regrets, supposedly. For future players, my advice is to abandon your real world ethics at the login screen. The way to squeeze every spicy moment out is to treat the dialogue like a minigame where the win condition is always the most unprofessional, leading question possible. Don't try to actually help them. That's a trap. The unpolished vibe, the sometimes janky translation, it all adds to this fever dream quality where you're never quite sure if the game is self aware or just accidentally a masterpiece of cringe. I'm banning any future games with a "sexologist" protagonist who doesn't immediately lose their license.

Hidden Games
The CG scenes hit like a truck, I'll say that. There's this one with the girl who always teases him, the one with the short hair, and the way her expression shifts from that smirk to something almost tender while she's... you know, it's the kind of thing that makes you forget the writing is a bit of a mess. The art is the whole reason to be here. Huge, soft, impossibly round tits that get the full hentai highlight treatment, every bead of sweat drawn with a kind of devotion that the dialogue just doesn't earn. The main guy is a disaster. He's got these "complexes" which the description says he exaggerates, but honestly he just comes off as whiny. You're supposed to help him get over his shit so he can function, and the choices are all about how he reacts when the girls, like, exist near him. One minute you're picking a dialogue option that's just pathetic, the next you're balls deep in a lovingly rendered scene because you accidentally chose the one that wasn't a complete meltdown. The psychology tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting. It's more like watching a car crash where the airbags are made of boobs. I kept thinking about that one girl, the understanding one. She has this scene where she's just talking, and for a second the game feels like it might actually explore something real about intimacy and anxiety. Then the next choice leads to a different girl mocking him and it's back to the same loop. The sound is just a few looping piano tracks that get real old. I wish there was a DLC that just let you play from the perspective of the short haired girl, figuring out why she puts up with him. That would be hotter than any of the actual sex scenes, which are already pretty fucking hot, don't get me wrong. The jiggle physics in my head are perfect.
