Coming Of Age ★ 5.0
Tomai v1.0
The character art has this rough, uninked quality, like sketches that escaped someone’s private notebook. Tomai’s blush isn’t a smooth gradient, it’s a couple of scratchy pink lines that somehow work better than any polished render. I fixated on the way Burdoc’s hand rests on Tomai’s shoulder in one early scene, just three fingers suggested by a single curved stroke, but the weight of it, the casual possession, is all there. The whole game feels like that, deliberate incompleteness that leaves room for your own filthy imagination to fill the gaps. The countdown to the Night Festival gives everything a lazy urgency. Fifteen days to decide who gets to rearrange Tomai’s insides, basically. The Father route is predictably drenched in authority kink, but there’s a moment where he calls Tomai “my good boy” during a completely mundane task, fixing a festival lantern, and the incestuous tension is so thick you could choke on it. Malik’s scenes are messier, more fumbling, which tracks for a coming of age thing. I wish the Lady had more explicit content, her scenes are mostly suggestive dialogue and one fade to black that felt like a cop out, but I get the yaoi tag means the focus is elsewhere. Burdoc though. Burdoc’s route has this polyamorous tangle with Malik that culminates in a three way confession scene so awkward and sweet I forgot I was playing a porn game for about five minutes. The queer lens here isn’t performative. Tomai’s bisexuality isn’t a plot point, it’s just the water he swims in, and the polyamorous resolution with Burdoc and Malik feels earned rather than tacked on for bonus content. There’s a running joke about a goat that I still don’t understand but it made me snort anyway. The comedy lands more often than it trips, which is rare when the same script also has to sell you on a son getting railed by his dad.
Fantasy ★ 1.0
Mirthful Glory Days - v0.1
I gotta say, the whole "summoning gone wrong" setup had me expecting something way more chaotic than what I got. Alister gets yanked from the hells and lands in this fantasy world with a disgraced prince and a gnome bard who used to be a thief. The prince, Izaak, has this whole repressed noble thing going on that makes every conversation feel like he's about three seconds from snapping. And Alek, the gnome, won't shut up about his lute. Like, literally, there's a scene where you're supposed to be planning how to track down some warlock and he's just tuning strings and making innuendos. I spent way too long on that part, honestly, just clicking through dialogue options to see if he'd ever drop the act. He doesn't. The art style is that specific kind of Ren'Py bara where everyone has shoulders like boulders but faces that look weirdly soft. It works for Alister, the demon, because he's supposed to be this hulking thing from the hells, but on Izaak it's a bit jarring. There's this one CG where they're in a tavern and the lighting makes Izaak's jaw look like it could cut glass. I kept staring at it. Not in a good way. The sex scenes, when they finally happen, are surprisingly tender for a game about a demon. Lots of close up shots and breathy dialogue. The first proper scene with Alister and Izaak has this whole "I shouldn't want this" vibe that's hotter than it has any right to be, especially when Izaak's princely composure just crumbles. But then Alek walks in and makes a joke about "tuning the wrong instrument" and I wanted to reach through the screen and strangle him. The demo cuts off right when things get interesting with the warlock plot, which is frustrating because the worldbuilding hints at something darker. The conservative kingdom, the shamed prince, the whole "crazed warlock" thing that's probably not what it seems. I wish the gnome was less annoying. I know he's supposed to be comic relief but in a game that's otherwise playing the tension straight, he feels like a meme that overstayed its welcome. Still, the writing during the intimate moments is solid, and there's a particular scene involving a magical restraint spell that I may have replayed more than once. Don't judge me.
Eroge ★ 4.2
Amber's Quest [Demo]
The soundtrack does a lot of heavy lifting here. It's not flashy, but those low, rumbling ambient tracks when they're on the river, the way the music just stops dead before a sex scene starts, it gets under your skin. The voice acting is nonexistent, which is fine, but I kept imagining how Amber would sound. Probably like a guy who's about to cry from horniness and fear at the same time. The story is basically three dudes on a boat looking for a lost city, and the whole time you know they're going to fuck. Amber is the twink, Gabriel is the big hairy one, Mateo is somewhere in between but with a mean streak. The writing is surprisingly good for a porn game. There's this one scene where they're arguing about rations and Amber just blurts out that he's never been with a man before, and Gabriel just looks at him like he's dinner. The tension is real. The CGs are gorgeous, all sweaty skin and tangled limbs, but the anatomy sometimes goes a little wild. Like, Mateo's dick changes size between scenes. Not complaining, just saying. The choices matter more than I expected. You can push Amber toward Gabriel or Mateo, or try to keep it professional, which never works. There's a scene where you have to decide whether to share a tent or sleep outside, and if you pick outside, you miss a whole blowjob sequence. That's just cruel. The achievements are stupid though. One of them is called "River Deep, Mountain High" and you get it for making Amber swallow. I laughed, then I felt bad, then I reloaded to get it anyway. The game doesn't judge you, which is nice. I wish there was more of the actual archaeology stuff, but no, it's mostly just an excuse to get three men alone in the jungle. Fine by me.
