Frost Pole again. The map screen loads and I'm already rolling my eyes because holiday specials usually mean lazy reskins and maybe a santa hat slapped on a slime. But this Pussymon episode, number 43 if you're keeping count, actually throws a whole new side quest at you with a character who wants something. Her dream, whatever. The writing has that fan translation energy where you can tell the dev's first language isn't english but honestly that adds to the charm. Over 200 lines of text and some of it made me snort. The new pussymon designs are where the brain rot sets in. There's this one, I won't spoil which, but the animation loop has this little bounce that's just hypnotic. 27 new animations total and you can tell which ones the creator spent extra time on because the fluidity jumps from passable to why am I staring at this for five minutes. The furry tag is doing heavy lifting here, if that's your thing you're eating good. If not, well, you're gonna see some stuff. The easter egg hunt mechanic is obscure as hell, you need to be in area 04 at early morning with full stamina. Who figures that out without a guide? I stumbled into it by accident while grinding and suddenly there's a new character who isn't even officially revealed yet. Weird teaser energy. The cheat manager is locked behind the special edition on patreon which is annoying but expected. What bugs me more is the stamina system gating content behind real time waiting. Let me be a degenerate on my own schedule. The legendary pussymon bonus scene is also paywalled and based on the preview thumbnail it's probably worth the couple bucks if you're already this deep into episode 43 of a parody monster collector porn game. Which I apparently am. The xmas theme is just window dressing, don't expect heartfelt holiday vibes. It's an excuse for ice area backgrounds and some jingly music that loops too fast. Still, I caught myself actually reading the quest text instead of skipping to the encounters, which is more than I can say for most patreon projects that promise monthly updates and deliver three jpegs and a dream. I don't know what I expected from a Christmas special but it wasn't this. The whole thing is a side story where the main guy from some bar renovation game goes home for holidays and ends up with three women. I never played the original so half the backstory flew over my head but honestly who cares when there's a sexy santa outfit involved within the first ten minutes. The writing is all over the place. One minute it's trying to be heartfelt about his dead dad's dream bar, next minute you're peeping through a keyhole like some creep while one of the women changes. The voyeurism stuff comes out of nowhere and the game doesn't even pretend to be subtle about it. You just click and watch. The pov shifts during the sex scenes are actually pretty hot though, especially the oral bits where the animation loops but somehow doesn't get boring. There's this one scene with the older woman, the milf character, where she's teasing him under the table during christmas dinner and the whole family is right there. The tension in that moment actually works better than the full on sex scenes later. The ahegao faces during the creampie finish are ridiculous though, like anatomically questionable ridiculous, but I laughed so maybe that was the point. The 3dcg models have that stiff quality where hands look like they're made of plastic and hair doesn't move right. But the special episodes are short enough that it doesn't overstay its welcome. Got the anal scene as a bonus unlockable and honestly the positioning made zero sense but the dialogue during it was so stupid I couldn't stop reading. The virgin character's first time scene tries to be sweet but then the animation kicks in and it's just mechanical thrusting with that same looped moan sound. I kept playing anyway. The mouthpie thing, whatever that's supposed to mean, shows up in one scene and I still don't understand the mechanic behind it but the visual was... memorable. For a holiday themed porn game it delivers exactly what you'd want if what you want is christmas themed fucking with occasional attempts at plot that you'll skip anyway.
