Jungle blonde
Jungle Fever is basically a single comic issue from the 90s you’d find under someone’s bed, and now it’s digitized, unapologetically rough around the edges. Betty Brickhouse is this blonde bombshell in a leopard print bikini that’s more like bodypaint, swinging on a vine like she owns the canopy. The art looks like a photocopy of a photocopy, thick lines and flat colors, no 3D nonsense, just pure pulp. JD, the Tarzan knockoff, shows up and you can guess what happens. He grabs her ankle mid swing. No dialog, just grunts and that classic “ooh” face. What’s weirdly hypnotic is how the whole thing moves from panel to panel without any pretense. He strips her, and there’s this one moment where her bikini top gets caught on her thumb, and I stared at that thumb for way too long. Is it broken? Is that a stylistic choice? The positions are standard missionary to doggy, but the way JD’s hair never moves, not even during the climax panel, is some next level cartoon logic. Then he swings off smoking a cigarette. Just like that. No high five, no jungle cuddle. Betty’s left sitting there, and a chimp comes out of nowhere giving her the universal sign for “wanna go again?” I laughed. I actually laughed. The whole thing feels like someone scanned their old stack of Penthouse Comix after a beer spill. I wish the chimp scene was longer, or at least interactive. But it won’t be. This is static porn comics, and there’s a charm in that. No minigames, no dialogue trees. Just click, leer, and move on. The bikini stays off for the rest of the panels, which is a plus, but Betty’s expression barely changes. It’s like she’s mildly annoyed about the whole jungle intercourse thing, which, honestly, mood.
