I died and some goddess named Ea was like "hey loser want a second chance" and next thing I know I'm Arthur in this fantasy world with magic and big titty elf girls everywhere. The whole isekai setup is whatever, we've seen it a million times, but the way this game handles the harem stuff got my attention real quick.

The combat is turn based which I normally hate but here it's simple enough that I didn't want to throw my laptop out the window. You level up, assign stat points, learn skills, whatever. There's puzzles later too but honestly who plays these games for puzzles. The real meat is the relationship system where you can go romantic with some girls and full domineering with others, not locked into one path like some other games force you to do. One minute you're sweet talking a mage girl, next you're making a warrior chick call you master while you creampie her from behind. The animations are 1080p now which is a step up from the dev's last game AlwaysFan, better lighting too, you can actually see the sweat on their skin during scenes. Oral scenes are particularly well done, there's this one with a redhead where she looks up at you while... yeah. The netorase content is there if you want it, clearly marked choices so you don't accidentally cuck yourself, and there's even a toggle in settings to disable it completely if sharing isn't your thing. Smart design honestly.

What bugs me though is the sidekick character. Dev said she'd be less present than Emilie was in AlwaysFan but she's still around enough to be annoying when you're trying to focus on other girls. And some of the groping scenes feel rushed, like they're just checking a box instead of building tension. The AI generated CGs are hit or miss, sometimes faces look weird during certain expressions. But when the scenes hit they really hit, there's this voyeurism moment early on where you watch one of the girls stripping through a crack in the door and the animation is chef's kiss. Also the male domination path gets pretty intense, you can really break some of these girls down mentally if that's your thing. The mentality gauge for your own character changes dialogue too which is a nice touch most games forget about.

3dcg ★ 4.2 In the Shadows of Ashwood Chapter 2 Ashwood looks normal from far away. Little town, boring streets, cheap bars, nothing special. Then you start talking to the new neighbor with the pale skin and the eyes that look like she can see every dirty thought you ever had, and suddenly the whole place feels wrong in a good way. The game throws you in as this scrawny, bullied guy who’s been kicked around for so long that even your own brain doesn’t trust you, living with a mom who downs wine like it’s water and walks around the house half-dressed, tits almost falling out of her robe in the middle of the day. It’s not subtle about anything. One moment you’re just standing in the hallway watching the way her bra doesn’t quite close in the back, the next you’re sitting across from this neighbor at night with candles, blood-looking wine, and she’s talking about hunger and old rules and the “price of desire” while her hand is on your thigh. The shift from pathetic everyday life to “oh shit, she might be a monster” happens pretty quick, but it works because you kind of want to be eaten anyway. The story plays out like a horny soap opera someone spliced together with a goth comic. A scene with your mom, drunk on the couch, boobs jiggling under that thin tank top while she half-accidentally leans on you, then it cuts to this red-lit alley where your neighbor has a woman pressed against a wall, kissing her in this slow, nasty way, fingers crawling under her skirt, and you’re watching in that frozen “am I turned on or in danger” feeling. There’s a lot of close-up stuff: hands on big asses, fingers sinking into soft tits, tongues, wet sounds. The lesbian bits are not just a side snack either, they go full-on. The game knows what it's doing, dangling these choices that feel like they matter but really just funnel you toward whichever girl you're simping for. Or both. There's a poly route, which I stumbled into completely by accident because I couldn't stop flirting with everyone like a horny disaster. The sex scenes have this frame by frame animation thing going on. It's not super smooth, kinda jittery actually, but somehow that makes it hotter? So I'd pick the teasing option, get a great reaction, then the next line would play out like I'd chosen the nice guy response. Immersion shattered. Anyway the poly ending is worth it.
