About this game
The dartboard spins. Not like a real one, more like a clock having a seizure, numbers blurring past. You click. Thunk. 7. Next throw, thunk, 9. That's 16. Need 5 more for 21. The math is simple but the pressure, god, the pressure. It's like that scene in The Unbearable Lightness of Being where everything is casual until suddenly it's not, except here the stakes are two women on my screen who will only touch each other if I can add numbers correctly.
One of them is blonde, the other brunette. Real models, or at least photographs of real models, which gives the whole thing this strange documentary feel. Like I'm watching security footage from a very specific kind of establishment. The lesbian show, as the game calls it, progresses in stages. Each time you hit exactly 21, another piece of clothing comes off. The striptease is mechanical in a way that reminds me of those old Flash dress-up games, but with actual people. There's something almost clinical about it.
I kept overshooting. 22. Bust. The score resets and the women put their clothes back on, which feels like a metaphor for something I don't want to examine too closely. The disk spins faster on higher levels maybe? Or maybe I just got worse. My dart practice did not become sharper, contrary to what the description promised. The whole thing is deliberately unpolished in a way that circles back around to charming, like a zine you'd find at a punk show. The erotic content is explicit but presented with all the passion of a spreadsheet. I don't know why I kept playing. The blonde woman has this expression that's somewhere between bored and patient, like she's waiting for a bus that's always late. I never did see the full show. Got stuck on level 3 for twenty minutes and then just... stopped. Not with frustration. More like the feeling when you're reading a book and realize you've been staring at the same paragraph for ten minutes, thinking about something else entirely.
