About this game
The knock on the door is what gets me. Not because it's loud or scary, just this perfectly timed thud that lands right when Katie's hangover is peaking. You can almost feel the vibration in your own skull. The sound design in these Katie Diraies bits is weirdly good for something that looks like it was drawn on a napkin. That hollow door knock. The way Jim's voice on the phone has this tinny, far away quality. And then silence, just the ringing in your ears.
Brandy is there too, looking like she just stepped out of a magazine. How. How does she do that. The animation on her is minimal, just a few frames, but the contrast with Katie's wrecked state is the whole joke. Big red hair, big tits, zero hangover. It's unfair and the game knows it. Katie's head is pounding and now Johnny's at the door and you just know this is going to be a mess. The humor lands because it's so simple. No big setup. Just a girl who wants to die on her couch and the universe saying nope.
The unpolished look actually helps. It's like a sticky note sketch that got out of hand. A few janky frames of animation that somehow sell the exhaustion better than something smooth would. The pacing is quick, no time to breathe, just knock knock headache boner. I wish there was more of a buildup but there won't be. That's not what this is. It's a horny vine, a six second joke stretched just long enough to get the blood moving. The redhead's tits bounce once and that's it, that's the whole thing, and honestly? Fair.
