About this game

The costume design in Pussymon ep 27 is... a choice. Sarah's farmgirl look got an upgrade, if you can call it that, more straps than actual fabric, which honestly works for the whole monster taming aesthetic. Bullseism still looks like someone's fursona escaped a deviantart page from 2009, but the new animations actually make that work. The way the fabric physics, or lack thereof, just gives up mid scene is almost charming. Almost. I spent way too long trying to get Moomow's new interaction to trigger, the positioning is so specific it's like the game wants you to fail.

The prison map is where things get interesting. Lara's redesign, she's back apparently, has this whole dominatrix vibe that clashes horribly with the farm aesthetic but somehow that's the point? The contrast between the pastoral sloppiness of Greenwood and the cold, sterile prison cells makes the scenes there hit different. There's this one animation with Fireep that I won't spoil but the lighting, oh god the lighting, it's so bad it circles back to being perfect. Like someone discovered bloom effects and never looked back. The easter egg hunt sent me through the reworked farm three times before I found it, and honestly the reward scene is worth the frustration even if the legendary Pussymon looks like it was designed during a fever dream.

The writing is still rough, 380 lines of text with grammar that sometimes makes me question if the english classes are helping, but there's a sincerity to it. When a character drops a revelation about the Pussymon Hunter Society, you feel it even through the typos. The side quests with the reworked characters feel more substantial than the main path sometimes, which is backwards but whatever. I wish the cheat manager was less hidden, buried in menus like it's ashamed of itself. The special edition bonus scene is... let's just say it involves that legendary and a lot of creative anatomy. Not complaining. The whole thing feels like a fashion disaster that somehow became iconic, you know? Like when someone wears clashing patterns and somehow pulls it off through sheer confidence. That's Pussymon 27. A mess. I'll be back for episode 28.

You can peek through keyholes and stuff, which is fine, but sometimes the perspective doesn't line up and you're just staring at a wall texture while moaning plays. The cheating tag is there but it's more like... she's cheating on people you never met? Some boyfriend from the old country who gets mentioned once and never again. Like a running gag the writer forgot was a gag. The masturbation scenes use this weird sparkle effect that made me think my graphics card was dying. The phone interface thing actually works here, which surprised me. Usually these gimmicks feel like reading someone else's Discord logs while they're in the bathroom. But watching Lisa's typing indicators blink, seeing her delete messages, rewrite them softer... that's the real horror. Not the cheating itself. The tiny betrayals before the big one. There's this moment where she stares at a photo from some guy named Alex for like forty seconds before responding. Forty seconds. I counted. The game doesn't tell you she's doing that, you just notice the timestamp gap and fill in the silence yourself. The NTR branches aren't even the worst part. It's the NTS stuff that got under my skin, where Lisa's the one pushing, manipulating, treating these guys like collectibles. The blood spatter effect is cheap, like someone just threw a red PNG over the character sprite, but it works. It really works. The whole thing runs on that janky Renpy engine where you can almost feel the default menus underneath. The sex scenes are what you’d expect from a hentai VN made by someone who really, really focused on the knife sounds. Stiff poses, the usual moaning text, but there’s this one CG where she’s on top and her eyes are just. Dead. Like two glass marbles. I couldn’t stop staring at it. The choices are mostly guessing games, which is the whole point, but sometimes the logic is so broken you’ll pick the obviously nice option and she’ll decide that means you want to be fileted. That’s the horror part, I guess. Not knowing if the game is bugged or if she’s just that insane.
