About this game
The first puzzle loads and it's just her face, that signature smirk, but the pieces are all wrong. You know how some jigsaw games snap pieces into place with this satisfying little click? Not here. Here you're dragging a corner piece that looks like it should be her shoulder but the edge is too straight, too sharp, and it just floats there until you drop it somewhere else entirely. I spent maybe two minutes trying to fit what I thought was her elbow into a spot that turned out to be background. The game doesn't care. It just waits.
Then there's the whole 3D thing. They actually want you to have those red and blue glasses, like it's 1995 and you're at a mall kiosk. I didn't have any. I held up a pair of old sunglasses and squinted. Didn't work. But the regular mode is fine, I guess. Catie Minx strips slowly as you complete each image, which is the entire point. The photos are what they are. Grainy in places. The lighting in one shot makes her look like she's standing under a flickering bathroom bulb. Still, there's this one puzzle where she's half turned away, looking back over her shoulder, and the curve of her hip lines up perfectly with a piece that also contains part of a lampshade. That was nice.
The music loops. It's this tinny little melody that I swear I've heard in a dentist's waiting room. You can't turn it off. Or maybe you can, but I never found the button. The interface has buttons that look like they should do things but sometimes they just highlight and nothing happens. I clicked a gear icon and the screen flashed black for a second. Then back to the puzzle. Catie's still there, waiting. The whole thing feels like someone made it in a weekend and then just... left it. Which I kind of respect. It's not pretending to be anything other than what it is. A jigsaw puzzle with tits. The end.
