The quiz mechanic is so dumb it loops back around to genius. You're Nick, some schlub with a camera on a cruise ship, and the only way to get these girls out of their swimsuits is to answer trivia about them. Like, actual multiple choice questions. One wrong answer and she just laughs and walks off to the pool bar. I failed the redhead three times because I kept picking the answer about her favorite cocktail being a mojito when it was actually a negroni. Who drinks negronis on a cruise? Anyway.

The payoff scenes are worth the aggravation. There's this one moment with the blonde by the railing, ocean spray hitting her back while she arches and the camera shutter clicks. The artist clearly spent all their time on the tits. Massive, gravity defying, with nipples that could cut glass. The faces are a bit off though, like everyone's slightly cross eyed. And the background passengers just stand there frozen, staring at nothing. Creepy as hell.

But the sad endings. Oh man. If you deliberately bomb the quizzes, some of these girls get genuinely upset. Not in a hot way. In a "I just ruined a stranger's vacation" way. One of them, the shy one with the freckles, she just quietly says "oh" and walks back to her cabin. You can follow her with the camera but the door closes. That's it. No game over screen, no retry prompt. Just the sound of waves and your own footsteps on the deck. I sat there for a full minute waiting for something to happen. Nothing did.

The photographer angle is barely used. You'd think framing shots would matter but no, it's just click and done. Whatever. The quiz stuff is the real game and it's weirdly compelling. Like a dating sim where the only stat is "did you remember her sister's name from two dialogue boxes ago." I keep going back to see the failure states. The success states are fine too I guess. Big anime honkers and all that. But the failures stick with you longer.

You think you're playing a simulator about fixing a marriage and then suddenly there's mind control and you're watching your wife get railed by some guy named Marcus while a doctor takes notes. The cuckold stuff isn't just there for shock value, it's woven into the conspiracy which is a choice I guess. Some paths have Sophie's tits practically spilling out of everything while she explains how you were never enough, and the writing actually makes you feel the humiliation. The virgin tag is misleading though, Alex is married, but he's so inexperienced and pathetic that it might as well count. There's a moment in the MKULTRA route where you have to choose between looking at evidence or looking at Sophie's ass and the game knows what you'll pick. It always knows.
