The engine chugs like a dying laptop on a Zoom call, which is honestly part of the charm. This isn't some slick Unity asset flip. It's a Ren'Py thing, I think, or something equally held together with digital tape, and the 3DCG models have that glossy, slightly dead eyed look where Fleur's hair clips right through her shoulder if she turns too fast. You know the look. I spent ten minutes just rotating the camera in the first scene with Hermione in the Gryffindor common room, watching the shadows on her skirt glitch out, before I even clicked forward. The optimization is a war crime but I'm not here for frames per second.
The plot is basically an excuse for a corruption spiral, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. The men in the castle get hit with some curse that makes them... aggressively handsy, let's say, and Hermione's little investigation squad gets picked off one by one. There's a scene with Ginny and a Slytherin prefect that made me minimize the window when my boss walked past, not because of the nudity but because the dialogue is so bluntly humiliating. It's all blackmail notes and forced choices. Bellatrix shows up and it's exactly the kind of leather clad, wand as prop you'd expect, but the writing for her is surprisingly sharp, all clipped sentences and psychological prying. Luna's involvement feels like an afterthought, a quick lesbian scene in a broom closet that's hot but disconnected from the main thread. Myrtle is there too, being a pervy ghost, which is a sentence I just typed.
The corruption mechanics are simple, a hidden stat that changes dialogue options from defiant to... not. There's a moment where Hermione has to choose between taking a humiliating potion or letting a curse spread to Ginny, and the game remembers. It actually fucking remembers for later scenes. That surprised me. The BDSM elements are mostly light restraint and power play, nothing that requires a safeword tutorial, but the psychological humiliation is the real focus. The sound design is nonexistent, just silence and the occasional stock moan that loops badly. I wish the Fleur content had more bite, she's just kind of there to be French and get degraded, which is a waste of her Veela thing. Anyway, the blackmail plot with the photos is genuinely tense, I'll give it that.
