About this game

Rune’s tail does this thing when he’s nervous, a little twitch at the tip that he probably doesn’t even know about. I spent maybe twenty minutes just watching that, clicking through the same dialogue tree three times because the way his ears flatten when you bring up the old hometown stuff, fuck. The Halloween special throws you into this remote guesthouse in Norway, all creaky floorboards and weird shadows, and suddenly there’s a costume party and everyone’s wearing these flimsy little outfits that barely count as clothes. Bjørn in that ridiculous vampire cape with his chest basically out, and I’m supposed to focus on the science camp plot? Please.

The game’s a furry visual novel, yeah, but calling it wholesome feels like a lie when the tension between the protagonist and Arvid gets so thick you could choke on it. There’s this one scene in the sauna, a special Halloween route I stumbled into by accident, where the steam is so dense you can’t see anything but the dialogue choices get real specific about where hands are going. I picked the option to just lean in, no talking, and the way the sprite’s expression shifted, that half lidded look, I actually said “oh my god” out loud. The writing doesn’t spell everything out, leaves these gaps your brain fills with the filthiest possibilities. Sometimes that’s hotter than a full on sex scene, you know? But also sometimes I wanted it to just get on with it already. The slow burn is a lot.

Wish there was more with the side characters, the ones who aren’t romance options but still show up with these knowing smirks. The Halloween setting adds this layer of mischief, like the usual rules don’t apply. Found a mod on some forum that unlocks a few extra spicy CGs, nothing crazy but enough to make me replay the midnight bonfire scene. The way the firelight catches on fur and fabric, the awkward silences that stretch too long. It’s messy and unpolished in places, the text sometimes feels translated by someone who learned English from old fanfics, but that almost adds to the charm. Makes it feel more intimate, like reading someone’s private sketchbook. The romance with Rune specifically, that mix of guilt and wanting, hit a little too close to something I didn’t expect from a game with cute animal people.
