About this game
The way Feley Fatalis twitches when you fail to free her from a stun, that desperate full body shudder while you shake the mouse like you’re trying to defrag a hard drive from 1999, that’s the first thing that caught my attention. Not the treasures she’s hunting, not her telekinetic powers, just that vulnerable moment of struggle. As a therapist, I’d say her character operates on pure id. She kicks and charges shots with this focused aggression, dragging objects across the screen with her mind like she’s rearranging furniture in a rage, and then suddenly she’s pinned down and the whole gameplay shifts to this frantic, intimate rescue motion.
The loading screens, god. Long Loading is literally the title and they’re not kidding. I timed one at forty seven seconds and spent the entire wait staring at her character design, the way her outfit clings in all the wrong places. When the action finally kicks in, the platforming is janky enough that you’ll miss jumps constantly, which leads directly into the scenes you’re actually here for. The rough sex sequences trigger on defeat and they don’t hold back. Toys get involved, the lesbian encounters have this raw, grinding intensity that feels almost uncomfortably voyeuristic. I kept dying on purpose against one specific enemy just to see the variation in animations.
The sound design is mostly grunts and wet impacts, no voice acting to speak of which honestly makes it dirtier somehow, like you’re watching something you shouldn’t. The telekinetic rock throwing mechanic gets forgotten halfway through because why bother when failure rewards you more generously than success. One detail I obsessed over was how small rocks clip through her hand model when you pick them up. It’s such a minor thing but I stared at it for an embarrassing amount of time while the game hung on another loading screen. The charge shot has this satisfying release but the mouse dragging for objects fights against the physics engine in a way that feels like the game is actively resisting you. Which I guess fits the theme. You’re not meant to win cleanly here.
