About this game
You know what the worst part about being a fox spirit is? Everyone expects you to be all graceful and shit. I'm Kitsune, and let me tell you, dodging magical bullets while your clothes slowly vanish is not graceful. It's sweaty. It's panic. And my tails keep getting in the way.
So there I was, just minding my business in whatever forest this is, when suddenly every monster in the damn province decides today's the day they want a piece of fox ass. The game doesn't really explain why they're shooting at me. Maybe they're jealous of the fur. The first boss, some kind of plant tentacle thing, had me actually cursing at my screen. The homing bullets help, those little green bastards seek out enemies while I'm busy having a heart attack trying to weave through purple projectiles. But on Bullet Hell difficulty? Forget it. I died three times before I even saw the first clothing tear.
The stripping mechanic is weirdly motivating though. Not in a creepy way, more like... okay maybe a little creepy. Each hit takes off another piece, and you're standing there in your underwear while this giant eyeball monster is still firing patterns at you. The art's that kind of soft anime style, nothing too explicit until the end, but the tension builds. My problem is the enemy health on Normies mode feels padded now. They beefed it up to balance the homing shots and health regen, but sometimes I'm just holding down the fire button thinking about what I'm gonna have for dinner while this slime thing refuses to die.
The game's from the same people who made that Tower of Five Hearts yuri novel, and you can kinda tell they're more comfortable with character art than bullet patterns. Some attacks feel fair, others are just "good luck, fox girl." The music's decent though, and the volume sliders actually work which is more than I can say for half the games on Newgrounds. I wish the tutorial explained the scoring system, or if there even is one. I just shot things and got naked. Mission accomplished?
