About this game
A goddamn popup about my antivirus, right when the astronomy teacher is explaining the final exam to Sophia Martin. Not a real antivirus, some in game joke I think, but it yanked me out of it. This whole thing runs in a browser, no downloads, so I was already on edge about closing the wrong tab and losing my spot in Fucktown College or whatever the hell the campus is called.
The setup is thin but honestly that's not why anyone clicks. You're a professor, she's the one student who never showed up to class all semester. Now she needs to pass. The dialogue options are blunt, no trying to be clever. "You want this grade, you'll do what I say." That kind of thing. The character models are deliberately unpolished, like someone started sculpting and just stopped when it was good enough to get the idea across. Sophia's proportions are ridiculous in that specific way where her waist makes no anatomical sense and her chest moves like it has its own gravity settings. During the first "tutoring session" in your office, there's a weird moment where the camera clips through the desk and you see her feet hovering two inches above the floor. Didn't ruin it. Made it feel more raw somehow, like finding a sketch instead of a finished painting.
The quest system is barebones, basically just clicking through locations on a map. Classroom, office, dorm, repeat. But the writing has these sudden moments of meanness that caught me off guard. One line about her "finally attending a private lecture" made me laugh out loud, then feel a bit gross. The audio is what got me though. Not music, just these wet sounds that loop slightly out of sync with the animation. I turned my volume down instinctively even though I live alone. That's the kind of game this is, the kind where you check over your shoulder for a loading screen. There's no real story beyond the power trip, and the "college" tag is just set dressing. But for what it is, a quick browser hit about a teacher cashing in on a student's desperation, it delivers exactly the uncomfortable fantasy it promises. Dare to play it alone, or invite company?
