About this game
The thing about this trilogy ender is how it handles the party scene. You've got the blonde, right, from the previous games, and the whole setup is basically a dare that spirals. The dialogue choices feel like they were written by someone who actually remembers high school being awkward, not sexy. Like, you pick a line thinking it's smooth and she just stares at you. Then you have to recover. That part's genuinely funny, and I wish more of the game leaned into that instead of the standard click to advance bits.
The RPG elements are there but honestly I forgot about the stat checks halfway through. There's a moment where you're in the bedroom and the whole thing hinges on a choice that isn't telegraphed at all. I clicked it because I was bored and suddenly there's a full on explicit scene with her on the desk, legs up, and the animation is this choppy flash style that somehow makes it hotter. The lack of polish works for it. You see the seams in the art, the way her hair doesn't quite move right, and it feels more intimate, like finding a drawing someone didn't mean for you to see.
Wish the sound design wasn't just a loop of what I think is a royalty free beat. Muted it after two minutes. But the writing, when it's not trying to be a porno, has these weirdly sweet moments. You're jerking off one minute and the next you're helping her with homework and the tonal whiplash is almost the point. The "Schoolboy Crush" part of the title makes sense. It's not about the sex, it's about the panic before it. And then the sex happens and it's fine, gets the job done, but I kept thinking about that earlier conversation where you can completely blow it by mentioning her ex. That's the real game.
