About this game
I ran the numbers on this genre last quarter and the roommate corruption niche is up 34% year over year. House of Lust sits right in that sweet spot, a pandemic premise that feels weirdly dated now but whatever, nobody is here for the worldbuilding. You are a university student, supposedly religious, supposedly with a girlfriend, moving into an apartment with three women who have chests that defy physics and intentions that are not subtle.
The CG hentai art style is what you would call deliberately unpolished. Some renders look like they were lit by a single desk lamp, shadows falling in places that make no anatomical sense. I spent way too long staring at one scene where a character's elbow bent the wrong direction and honestly it added something. Like outsider art but for porn. The choice system is binary most of the time, corrupt or resist, and the resist path is boring on purpose I think. Nobody picks the salad when there is a buffet of bad decisions.
The roommate archetypes are standard issue, the forward one, the shy one with hidden depths, the one who is probably plotting something. What got me was a moment early on where you are just making coffee and one of them leans over in a way that breaks like three workplace harassment guidelines. The game knows what it is. No pretensions about deep narrative or meaningful consequences. You click, you leer, you gradually abandon your girlfriend and your god, and the corruption meter fills up like a progress bar at work except the reward is animated tits instead of a paycheck. I wish the girlfriend character had more presence, she is basically a guilt mechanic with a name, but that ship has sailed. The whole thing runs in browser so no fussing with downloads, just instant access to questionable life choices.
