About this game
The uniform is wrong. I notice this first, before anything else. The blue sailor collar sits too flat on her shoulders, no real weight to it, and as someone who has worn variations of this outfit for actual stage work, the way the fabric doesn't bunch at the armpits when she moves her arm to... well, to do what she does next... it takes me out for a second. Chain Disaster Episode 1, from the Dancing Queen series, and I'm already critiquing textile physics instead of paying attention to the brunette with the dead eyes getting herself into trouble.
The whole thing works like a visual novel but lazier. Buttons on the right advance scenes. You click, she reacts, the situation escalates. There's this one moment where her expression shifts from bored to something else, something hungrier, and the comic panel framing actually works. The artist understands that hentai lives in the faces, not just the anatomy. The anatomy is fine, by the way, standard anime proportions, nothing that'll make you question human biology too much. But the faces. The way her lip catches on her teeth in one frame. That's the good stuff.
The minigame at the end. I won't spoil it except to say it involves rhythm and timing and I failed it twice because I was distracted by the background details. Someone on a forum I lurk on, maybe it was F95zone, mentioned there's a way to unlock extra scenes by failing on purpose at specific points. I tried this. It didn't work. Or maybe I didn't fail hard enough. The game doesn't tell you anything, just keeps going like you didn't just deliberately sabotage the climax. Which, honestly, is kind of hot in its own way. The Japanese text remains untranslated in some bubbles, a sloppiness that I find almost charming. Almost. I wish the uniform had more presence, more weight. It won't change. I'll still play Episode 2.
