About this game
Okay so the first thing that happens is you wake up in this weird maze of a house and there's a goat woman. A very, very forward goat woman. Toriel if she hit the gym and dropped the whole maternal thing for something else entirely. The game calls itself Uddertale and honestly that's the level we're operating at here. It knows what it is.
The maze bit is surprisingly annoying. Not hard exactly, just that kind of wandering where you keep hitting dead ends and the arrow keys feel slightly mushy. Browser game problems, right? There was a blackout bug during the sleep scene but the dev says it's fixed now. I didn't see it. What I did see was a goat mom with proportions that defy physics and a very clear agenda. The hard sex tag isn't lying. She's not subtle about what she wants and the whole "you can go anywhere except these two rooms" setup is basically a formality. You're gonna end up in her room. That's the game.
The art has this unpolished charm. Like someone drew it on a tablet they're still figuring out, but the enthusiasm carries it. The monster design is... dedicated. Let's say dedicated. There's a specific frame where she's looking down at you and the perspective does something weird to her chest that I can't stop thinking about. Not in a good way. But also not in a bad way? HTML5 games always have these moments where a browser quirk makes something look accidentally cursed and this has a few of those. The maze sections between scenes kill the pacing though. You're just walking past identical walls waiting for the next bit and the whole thing is maybe ten minutes long. Ten minutes of goat mom wanting to keep you forever. The basement stays locked. I checked. Multiple times. What's in the basement? Nothing probably. But still.
