The WE-TRACK-U-5000 is the most cursed piece of tech since the Game Boy Camera and I can't stop using it. Phoenix Wright, ace attorney, standing in court doing his little finger point while I've got a second window open watching Maya get absolutely railed by some Bluecorp executive. The tonal whiplash should break the game but somehow it makes everything funnier. Objection? More like I object to not having this tracking device in the actual Ace Attorney series.

Collecting those trading cards became an obsession. Mia's card dropped after a particularly nasty corruption scene and I actually fist pumped. The parody art style nails the original character designs then just... removes clothes. Franziska von Karma with her whip but now she's using it differently, you know? The minigames are whatever, standard point and click busywork, but they break up the visual novel segments enough that you don't get numb to the constant sex scenes. Though the Psyche-Lock ripoff minigame where you have to click evidence to "break" through someone's resistance while they're mid-scene is genuinely clever. Wish the mobile game tag wasn't lying though, this thing chugs on my phone browser like it's running through molasses.

The netorare elements hit different when you're literally watching the tracker feed. Phoenix is in one room questioning a witness about corporate fraud while Maya's getting corrupted in real time three floors down. You see her resistance meter dropping, the dialogue getting sluttier, and there's nothing you can do because you're stuck in a goddamn cross examination. That helplessness is the point obviously but it still makes me want to throw my mouse. The OC girl they're planning sounds promising but knowing update schedules for these parody games she'll probably arrive sometime after the heat death of the universe. For now I'll just keep collecting those cards and watching Maya make terrible life choices through a tiny tracking device screen like the degenerate I am.
