About this game
I keep coming back to the scene where she's just watching. Not doing anything, just watching through a crack in the door. That's the whole mood of this thing really, that feeling of holding your breath while something happens in the next room. Three words? Peeking, blushing, unraveling.
The roommate setup is classic but they actually do something with it here. One minute you're having breakfast like normal people, next minute someone's bent over the kitchen counter getting spanked with a wooden spoon. The transitions are jarring in a good way, like real life when you suddenly realize a moment has turned sexual and you're not sure exactly when it happened. The writing has this earnest quality, characters saying things like "I've never done this before" and actually meaning it, not in that porn way where it's clearly a line. Though sometimes the dialogue loops back on itself, repeating emotional beats we already covered. I got impatient during one long conversation about boundaries that felt like it was going in circles. But then there's this scene with a vibrator and a mirror and suddenly I forgot what I was complaining about.
The exhibitionism stuff hits different when it's accidental at first. She doesn't plan to get caught masturbating, it just happens, and then the whole dynamic shifts. There's this power play that develops where you're never quite sure who's in control. The BDSM elements creep in gradually, a hand on the throat here, a command whispered there. The handjob scene in the living room while the TV's still on, some random show playing in the background nobody's watching anymore. That felt real. The lesbian content is tender in ways the straight stuff isn't, more exploratory, like they're mapping new territory. The anal scene comes late and feels earned somehow, which is weird to say about a porn game but here we are. The violence tag is misleading though, it's more like rough play than anything graphic. Unless you count emotional violence, which there's plenty of. The protagonist has this way of looking at you that makes you feel like you're the only person in the world, and also like you're in terrible danger. I think that's what love is supposed to feel like. Or maybe I've been playing too many of these games. The mobile version runs fine but the text is tiny and I had to squint during the good parts which kind of killed the mood. Why do they always make the font so small? It's a kinetic novel so you're just along for the ride, no choices, which normally I hate but here it works because the story actually goes somewhere unexpected. The comedy bits are genuinely funny, not just "funny for a porn game" funny. There's a joke about a houseplant that I still think about. The romance feels obsessive in the right ways, that all consuming thing where you forget to eat. I should probably eat something actually.
