About this game
The whole thing's a mess of gorgeous celebrity dudes who might be murderers, and you're just some guy who thought he was getting a chill summer. Your bestie works at this huge film studio, right? She brings you in and suddenly people are dead, or secrets are leaking, and everyone's got that plastic smile that doesn't reach their eyes. The 2DCG art has this unpolished edge, like someone drew it on their tablet after three Red Bulls and a bad breakup, but honestly that jankiness makes the characters feel more real. Especially when clothes start coming off. The corruption arc for your protag isn't some edgelord fantasy, it's more like watching a sweet dude slowly realize he can weaponize his ass for information.
There's this producer, bald, always sweating, I thought he'd be a romance option because I'm stupid. He's not.
The gay content isn't coy or hidden behind ten euphemisms. When you get a scene with the leading man, the one with the jawline that could cut glass, it's explicit, messy, full of questionable lube choices and power dynamics that'd make a therapist quit. The multiple endings mean you can end up utterly ruined, emotionally and literally, or find something weirdly tender with a guy who spent half the game gaslighting you. One route I found by accident involved zero sex but so much pathetic eye contact I had to close my browser for a bit.
Game mechanics are basic. Click, read, choose, regret. Sometimes you'll pick a dialog option thinking it's flirty and instead your character outs someone at a red carpet party and everything goes to shit. No undo. The dating sim parts are standard fare, gift-giving like items at a gas station, but the writing in the bad routes has this blunt cruelty that caught me off guard. I'm still mad about the sound design by the way, or lack of it. Nothing. Just my own breathing and the click of my mouse, which made the corruption bits way more uncomfortable than any moaning track would have. Anyway the ending where you become a kept boy for a closeted director made me laugh out loud then feel bad about laughing.
