Right so the whole ranking thing, D to S tier, it's a setup for a power fantasy but then they give you a guy with magic that literally might explode. He's blackmailed, family in danger, the whole deal. Classic. The first time you see the academy gates it's all shiny 3D CG, then you're inside and the school setting is just... a school. Desks, hallways. But with monster girls. One of them, I forget her name, has these massive tits and an ass that the game's camera just loves. It's not subtle.

The humor is weird. One minute you're in a tense fight with graphic violence, guts and magic flying, next a girl is teasing you with a handjob under the desk during a lesson on combat theory. The tonal whiplash is insane. There's a scene with a gay character that comes out of nowhere, just a full oral sex moment in the locker room, and then it's never mentioned again like it was a fever dream. The male protagonist just rolls with it. The romance paths are... there.
