About this game
The fan clicks on its third setting and still nothing but hot air. Manuel's apartment in Madrid, August, feels like a brick oven with thin walls. You can hear the neighbor's toilet flush, the street vendors yelling about melons, and now Sofia's suitcase wheels scraping the floor. She's 18, from some village, here for university. The game doesn't waste time pretending this is anything but what it is. Incest tag, romance tag, voyeur tag. You play Manuel, her uncle, in a 60 square meter walk-up where every sound travels.
I spent way too long on the first shower scene. Not because it's graphically explicit, but because the sound design, if you can call it that, is just a looping water noise and a shadow behind frosted glass. You can click to lean closer. That's it. But my brain filled in the rest. The AI generated art is rough in places, hands look like melted candles sometimes, but the summer heat and the sweat on Sofia's tank top, that's what got me. There's a moment where she bends over to plug in a fan and the game just holds on it. No animation. Just a static image and the hum of the fan. I sat there like an idiot waiting for something to happen.
The student tag means she studies sometimes, books spread on the kitchen table, and you can "accidentally" walk in while she's changing. The male protagonist is a quiet pervert, which, same. I wish there was more actual dialogue, the romance feels thin, but maybe that's the point. The apartment is small. The walls are thin. You hear everything.
