One minute she's crying in a refugee center, the next she's getting fingered behind a language class. There's this scene with her landlord that I kept thinking about later, not because it was hot exactly but because the dialogue was so bizarre. He says something like "you pay rent with your body now" and she just nods. No internal monologue, no hesitation. The game forgets she's supposed to be traumatized until it needs drama again. I spent way too long on the voyeurism mechanic. It's a prison, so the power dynamics are the whole point. You're not here for a nuanced take on the carceral system. The game understands that the hottest part is the anticipation, the threat, the way a hand rests on your shoulder and squeezes just a little too hard. The sound design is basically nonexistent, just some looping ambient noise that sounds like a fridge humming, but honestly, you're not playing this with the volume up for the atmosphere. You're playing it for the moment the biggest guy in the yard calls you "pretty" and the only response option is a nervous gulp.
