About this game
Right, so the data on parody smut games is actually fascinating. You see these massive spikes whenever a nostalgic IP gets the treatment, but the retention curve usually looks like a cliff. Totally Screwed with the Totally Spies crew is an outlier though. The session length metrics must be insane because the game understands one core thing better than most: the agonizing, drawn out tease.
The whole thing is a kinetic novel, no choices, which I normally hate. Feels like watching a slideshow when I could just pull up a video. But the writing here is so specifically tuned to a kind of clumsy, accidental exhibitionism that it loops back around to being engaging. There's this one long sequence with Clover that I kept thinking about. She's trying to get intel by working as a masseuse, right? And the scene just fixates on her hands shaking, the oil bottle making that stupid wet fart sound because she squeezed it too hard, her internal monologue screaming while she accidentally grinds against the client's leg. It's not smooth or sexy in a traditional way. It's awkward as hell. That's what makes it work. The 3DCG models are stiff, the animations are basically nonexistent, but the internal panic described in the text box sells the corruption way better than any high fidelity loop could.
Forgot to mention the whole drug plot. It's there. Something about a shadowy organization and a new substance. Honestly it's just scaffolding to get Sam posing as a delivery girl and getting groped in a hallway, or Alex doing a full undercover prostitution sting that goes sideways into a messy group scene. The interracial and cheating tags are all over the place, mostly tied to these undercover identities. The logic is paper thin. Fran and Gina show up, there's some lesbian content that feels tacked on from a different build, and the masturbation scenes are weirdly clinical. The oral sex descriptions though? Shockingly detailed. Like someone on the dev team has a very specific thing for that and just went all in, ignoring the rest of the game's polish. The sleep sex bit with Beth is just there and then never mentioned again. It's a mess. A compelling, frustrating mess that knows exactly what kind of slow burn corruption it wants to depict, even if the 3DCG can't keep up.
