then the minigames start. and look, i'm not gonna pretend tapping a rhythm to unzip a dress is high art, but the way it stutters when you mess up, the scene just freezes and you have to do it again, it's frustrating in a way that feels intentional. like the character's own clumsy fingers. the detective tag makes sense now, you're not sherlock holmes, you're just a guy trying to piece together if last night was a mistake or a crime. the story keeps dangling this thriller angle, little hints that maybe she wasn't just drunk, maybe something else was in her system, and the whole time you're still clicking to remove clothes and the game doesn't let you forget that you're participating.

wish the secret ending wasn't locked behind finding all the hidden clues in the background. missed one stupid earring on the floor and now i gotta replay the whole bar sequence. the visual novel parts are where it actually gets good though, the dialogue's stilted but in a real way, the way people talk when they're scared and pretending not to be. there's this one line she says if you pick the wrong option, "i remember enough," and the way her sprite just stares. not sexy at all. made me put my phone down for a sec.

anyway the hentai scenes are there, they're explicit, the anatomy's questionable at best but the game knows what you're here for and delivers without the usual thirty minutes of grinding. just wish the clicker parts didn't feel so... disconnected from the tension. one minute you're uncovering a possible assault, next you're tapping a bra clasp like it's cookie clicker. tonal whiplash. but maybe that's the point. maybe that's the whole damn point and i'm overthinking a porn game at my desk while my boss thinks i'm doing inventory.

That's the vibe. Not sure if intentional but it works. The two routes thing, they say equal effort but the harem path feels more fleshed out. Or maybe I just prefer the absurdist comedy over the horror. The virgin protagonist thing gets old fast but the cosplay scenes, when they finally happen, are worth the wait. Big tits everywhere, obviously, this is Honey Select, but the monster design is actually creepy which I didn't expect. Contradicting myself here but the game is both too slow and perfectly paced.
