Farm ★ 3.8
Milk Plant Part 9
Right, so there I was, absolutely certain this was going to be some intricate spy thriller. You know, gadgets, maybe a decoder ring. Instead I got a cow. Well, a spy who is also a cow. The plot, and I use that word loosely, is that you’re putting some kind of medieval vice on this woman’s chest. It’s a dedicated milking device, a real piece of farm equipment, and the whole game is just you cranking that thing tighter. The channel is pretty one track. The squirt mechanic is the whole point. It’s not subtle. It’s like someone looked at a hentai tag list and built a single interaction around it. The sound design is what got me. there’s this wet, sloshing noise, like someone stepping in a puddle with a heavy boot, that plays every time you get a result. It’s so absurdly loud and specific, I started laughing and completely lost the, uh, mood, for a solid five minutes. My neighbor probably thinks I was unclogging a drain. Very unpolished on purpose, they say. The character model has this dead eyed stare that reminds me of a pug I saw on instagram that was afraid of a toaster. She just watches you turn the crank, completely checked out. Destiny believer? The only fated romance here is between this poor woman and a hydraulic press. I spent way too long trying to figure out the optimal cranking speed. There is none. It’s just click. Wait for the wet noise. Click again. Like a really depressing cookie clicker. The occupation is meant to be spy, but the only thing she’s infiltrating is a dairy. I kept waiting for a twist, like a rival agent bursts in with a state of the art electronic pump. Nothing. Just the farm. Just the eternal, unblinking stare and the sound of liquid hitting a metal bucket. The control scheme is just one button, and I think the sound effect is a stock audio file called ‘wet meat slap 3’. I’m not even mad. This is the most committed piece of anti gameplay I’ve ever seen. A masterwork in not being a good game.

Brothel Empire
Right, so the Yuletide log is burning, the mulled wine is spiked with something definitely not cinnamon, and I'm trying to build a festive themed brothel. Because nothing says holiday spirit like a red and green garter belt. The whole thing has this unpolished charm, like a gift wrapped by someone who was already three eggnogs deep. The dev, Orochy, is upfront about it being a work in progress, and you feel that in the bones of the thing. Sometimes a menu button feels like it's held on with tape and a prayer. The core loop is simple. Get girls, set prices, watch the pixelated hentai scenes play out. I spent an embarrassing amount of time just tweaking the decor for the "Winter Wonderland" room, trying to get the fake snow texture to not clip through the bed. The sex scenes are visualized, which is the point, right? They're crude but they get the job done. There's this one elf character, I think her name was Lumi, and her little animation loop has this awkward pause where you can almost see the code trying to remember what comes next. It's weirdly endearing. The missions try to give you a story, something about a rival brothel lord who's a real Scrooge, but honestly I just kept getting distracted by the money counter ticking up. That little dopamine hit of seeing the coins pile up while a client is busy in room three. Wish there was a way to automate the cleaning minigame though. It's just clicking on puddles. Feels like a chore, and not the fun kind. The sound design is a whole other beast. The background music is this one lo-fi jazz track that loops every forty seconds. It's burned into my brain now. I'll be at the grocery store and suddenly I'm humming it, getting weird looks near the eggnog. The moaning sound effects are stock as hell, I swear I heard the same "oh yeah" in a flash game from 2006. But somehow, in this janky little world, it fits. It's like finding a dirty snow globe that plays a slightly off-key tune. You don't know why you keep shaking it, but you do. The whole thing is a mess, a horny, ambitious, half-finished mess, and I can't stop checking in on my little empire of sin between wrapping presents. The dev has big plans, a whole living world. Right now it's more of a slightly twitching world, but I'm weirdly invested in seeing if it ever learns to walk.
