About this game
You know what’s wild? Ada Wong. Not the slick, spy-in-a-red-dress Ada. More like Ada with a questionable navigation app and a body that defies physics in a lab coat that’s mostly just a suggestion. The whole thing is a point and click adventure where you’re stuck in some grimy laboratory, and the goal is to find three keycards to unlock a door on the bottom level. Sounds simple. It’s not.
The real horror isn’t the Resident Evil aesthetic, it’s the goddamn move counter. You have a limited number of clicks before you’re just... stuck? Failed? I never actually figured out what happens when you run out because I kept restarting like a maniac, trying to optimize my horny little route. Every click is a gamble. Do I click on the flickering monitor that looks like a trap, or do I investigate the suspiciously placed vent? One wrong move and you’re not getting that third card. The tension is stupid. I’m trying to see some hentai scenes and instead I’m sweating over resource management like I’m playing a spreadsheet simulator.
The scenes themselves. Right. They trigger from clicking on specific labels that describe an action. And look, the art is unpolished in a way that’s almost charming, like a doodle that got way out of hand. The big boobs tag is doing some heavy lifting. There’s one interaction where Ada gets caught by... something, and the whole thing is so absurdly framed I snorted my drink. The horror elements are just window dressing for the most part, a few jump scares that feel like they were added by someone who just discovered a spooky sound effect pack. I wish there was more actual puzzle logic instead of just trial and error, but that’s never getting patched.
I spent an embarrassing amount of time stuck on the second floor, convinced a specific pipe was a clue. It wasn’t. It was just a pipe. My mind was creating lore for a JPEG. The game makes you paranoid. You start doubting every click, which is a weird feeling when you’re just trying to unlock a scene of Ada in a compromising position with some tentacle-ish lab equipment. The whole experience is a fever dream of bad decisions and worse outcomes.
