About this game
The park bench where this happens is weirdly specific, like someone modeled it after a real place but then said fuck it and just dropped a blackjack table there. I spent way too long popping bubbles around one girl's left hip because the collision felt off, like the bubbles were magnetized to her shorts but only from certain angles. The strip mechanic is simple, you hit 21 or close enough and she loses a piece, but the real skill is not popping the wrong bubble and getting stuck with a 15 against the dealer showing a 10. Classic.
The models are real enough that it feels a little cursed, especially when they do that little shimmy thing after you lose a hand and they keep their clothes on. That shimmy is burned into my brain. I don't know why they all stand like they're waiting for a bus that never comes. Maybe that's the point. The whole thing has this weird energy like a street performer who saw you look and now won't break eye contact.
One girl just kept her sunglasses on the entire time, even after the top came off, and I respect that. The arcade part is just a score counter in the bottom corner that I forgot about until the third round, and then it was too late to care. Your thumb gets tired from tapping, but honestly the blackjack part is where the game actually lives. If you win too fast, you kind of miss the buildup, which is the whole reason to play, so sometimes I would hit on 18 just to see what happened. She didn't react any differently, but I felt something. The dealer never changes his face. That guy has seen things. I don't know what the numbers tag means, but there are numbers everywhere, and one of them was a 7, and I remember that because I lost to a 7. Twice.
