About this game
The puzzle itself is... I don't know what I expected. Maybe something clever? You get a grid with numbered tiles and one empty space, classic slide puzzle from those plastic keychains in the 90s. But the numbers are all jumbled and you're supposed to make a 3-digit code. The first time I solved it, took maybe two minutes of sliding things around while half paying attention, and then there's this pause where nothing happens. I thought the game crashed. Then the girl just... starts undressing. No fanfare. No music sting. Just this blonde in a white room looking mildly inconvenienced about having to take her top off.
And then she calls her girlfriends.
That part got me. Like, the logic of it. You solve a number puzzle and suddenly there's a conference call happening on her phone, and now another girl shows up on screen looking equally unenthusiastic. The whole thing has this weird lo-fi energy, like someone filmed this on a phone from 2016 and forgot to add any polish. The sound design is practically nonexistent except for the click of tiles sliding, which by the third puzzle starts feeling less like a game mechanic and more like a nervous tic you can't stop doing.
I spent way longer than necessary staring at the empty space where a soundtrack should be. Just tile clicks and occasional clothing rustles. The pacing is completely off in the best way, you'll be furiously sliding numbers around trying to get to the next reveal and then the animation plays and it's so... matter-of-fact. Like the girls are doing paperwork. Here's my bra. Whatever. Next number please.
The real model thing adds this layer of uncanniness because they're clearly actual people but compressed into this weird digital limbo. One of the friends, the brunette, she does this little shimmy when her skirt comes off and for a split second you forget you're playing what's essentially a math toy. Then the empty tile clicks again and you're back to sliding. I still don't understand what the 3-digit code actually corresponds to. Is it random? Is there a logic? Does it matter? The girl's expression never changes. That's the part I keep thinking about.
